[Michael Averto](https://www.channelape.com/blog/author/michael-averto) Jul 19, 2024 --- I'm excited to share some news that has been a long time in the making—Shopify is acquiring ChannelApe! This is a monumental step for our company, our team, and most importantly, our valued customers. From the start, ChannelApe's mission has been to empower brands to navigate the complexities of complex inventory. Our platform was built to streamline inventory management, order fulfillment, and overall operations, so brands could focus on what they do best – creating amazing products and building lasting customer relationships. We’ll no longer be taking on new customers and appreciate all the interest and support we’ve received. The platform is being sunset in summer of 2025. Joining Shopify, the undisputed leader in commerce, is an incredible validation of our vision and technology. It's a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and a signal of even greater things to come for our customers. This is a new and exciting chapter for ChannelApe, and we are thrilled to be joining a company that shares our passion for empowering entrepreneurs and fueling the growth of independent brands.
