How do I block a category in ChannelApe?

To begin, click Search on the left hand side of the screen:

From here, click on your Supplier list and click View Results. This will bring up a list of all your Supplier’s products. In the upper left corner of this list, you will see Columns with a drop-down menu. Click on the drop-down arrow and select Primary Category:

After you have selected Primary Category, copy that tag exactly as is. In this example, I’m going to use the tag “PISTOLS”. Copying the tag exactly as is, I’m going to click Search again on the left hand side. This time I’m going to click New Search and add the tag under Primary Category. It will look like this:

After adding the tag, click Search on the bottom of the page. This will bring up a list of all products with the Primary Category being Pistols. Click Save as new and label the list as you see fit. In this example, I’m going to label it: “Blocked – Pistols”.

From here, on the left hand side, click App Integrations -> Installed -> Choose either your Shopify App or Amazon App (whichever marketplace it is you’re using). It will bring you to the page below. Click Edit (circled in red).

Start typing your saved category list, ie: “Blocked – Pistols”. When you see the list come up, click Save (as pictured below).

This will block all Pistols from pushing to your Storefront. On the upper right hand side of the screen you will see 3 blue dots next to the help button. Click on that and select Settings. It will bring you to the image below. If you want these products to only be hidden, but not deleted, de-select ‘Delete Products‘. If you want these products to be deleted completely, keep ‘Deleted Products‘ selected. Either way, these products will not show on your Storefront. Click Update.

From here, click the 3 blue dots next to the help button and select Sync Inventory. By doing so, this will issue a product push and all changes will appear on your Storefront.
