First, ChannelApe updates products on your site. The next step is to remove any items that are also removed from the suppliers feed. After that, it will create new products from the feed.
We pull the inventory file daily from the suppliers and then match it against the feed from yesterday. If there is something that is not in the feed today that was in the feed yesterday, it is removed. Often what distributors do is items that are discontinued, not selling, recalled, etc. are removed from the feed. When this happens, we also remove from your store.
You can check to see how many of these items exist by logging into ChannelApe and clicking on the search labeled “RemovedFrom____Feed”. Once you have selected that, it will pull up a list of all the items that the supplier has removed/discontinued/deleted/etc.
